Earlier this year I was invited to present at PechaKucha 16 in Sacramento. The PechaKucha event is an international event created to showcase the many hidden talents of our world. One of the unique aspects of the PechaKucha event is its presentation format. Presenters have 20 slides at 20 seconds each, to present a topic of their choice or share a project they’ve been working on.
Every year around this time, most people take a moment to reflect on the year that has passed. To me this nothing out of the ordinary since I tend to analyze the events that happen in my life on a normal occasion. Since the topic of this blog is reflection, here’s a little personal insight on what this year represented to me.
In the recent months, I’ve been doing a lot of research in to what makes up society’s modern man. As marketing director of a male-oriented brand, it’s really important for me to understand the thoughts and behaviors of men. All the research, focus groups, and general discussions have led to some pretty deep thoughts which often have me questioning my own code of ethics and morals. In my current state of evolution as a man and business professional, this topic of pride hits close to home for me.
